Fever is one of the most effective mechanisms for defending the human body against bacteria or other pathogens that enter the body, and can't withstand high temperatures. Modern medicine no longer recommends the immediate reduction of fever - which is not a disease itself, but just a symptom, but only to support the body with food, water and rest to fight this disease. Over a certain temperature, however, and extended over long periods of time, fever can become very dangerous. Fortunately, you don't need to take immediate medical treatment because there is a long list of natural treatments to reduce fever. We'll tell you about the most effective ones in the below list.
Put compresses with cold water on your forehead and chest
Use cotton compresses, and wet them with cold water every few minutes or when they start to warm up.
Treatment with wet socks
This is an ancient remedy to get rid of fever with wet socks. Put your feet in hot water, then soak a pair of cotton socks in very cold water and quickly put them on your feet. Then put on another pair of wool socks, and get into the bed. The body reacts to cold socks and accelerates blood circulation, which stimulates the immune system and helps it fight the disease.
Apple vinegar is also very effective in reducing fever. Put on your forehead and chest, cold compresses soaked in equal parts of water and vinegar. For internal use, drink 2 to 3 times a day a glass of water in which you have dissolved 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of apple vinegar. If you take a bath, add warm water (attention, not hot or cold!) with half a cup of apple vinegar.
Mustard feet bath
In a bowl, put 2 tablespoons of hot water (as long as you can handle) and 2 tablespoons of mustard powder and keep your feet in it for a few minutes. Then get back into the bed and try to sleep.
