Proven Hacks And Remedies To Stop Nose Bleeding Fast

Nasal bleeding, or, in medical terms, epistaxis, is a common disorder that can manifest itself in the most inappropriate moments. Bleeding can cause panic, especially as a small amount of blood sometimes seems much larger.
Nasal bleeding may occur when the mucous membrane of the nose is dried and hardened, causing internal nasal breaks which lead to bleeding. It's a common problem also for people who take medicines that prevent blood clotting.

The first thing you need to do when your nose is bleeding is to stand up on your feet, and lean forward. The vertical position reduces pressure in the veins, and bending forward prevents the blood from flowing down the throat. You can also use the following steps and remedies:

Salt water: Prepare a saline solution by mixing 1 teaspoon of salt in a glass of water, and then wash your nose with it with a syringe or nasal pomp.
Lemon: Apply 1 or 2 drops in the affected nostril.
Vinegar: Soak a piece of sterile compresses in vinegar, insert it in your nose, and let it act for 10 minutes.
Cold compress: Put a cold compress on your nose. This remedy helps to contract blood vessels and stops bleeding.
Ice: Ice is another effective way to stop bleeding. Apply ice on your nose for a few minutes, and then remove. Repeat this remedy for half an hour.
A damp towel: If you wrap your head in a damp towel, you'll stop a bleeding nose quickly.
Blow your nose: If you blow your nose slowly, you will remove blood clots that may interfere with the normal blood flow.
